New dance classes in Rayleigh and Pitsea, opening end of September 2026
HK Dance Studios is opening two new Essex venues at the end of September 2026, in Rayleigh and in Pitsea. Here's what's confirmed so far, what classes will run, and how to register your interest so you hear the details first.

I'm Dionne. I opened HK Dance Studios in 2003, and twenty-three years later I'm still the one running it. So when I say I'm pleased about this, take it as read that it isn't a marketing line: we're opening two new venues at the end of September 2026, one in Rayleigh and one in Pitsea.
This is the honest version of the announcement, written a few weeks early, because I'd rather tell you what's happening while you can still plan around it.
What's confirmed, and what isn't
I want to be straight about where each venue stands, because "coming soon" can mean almost anything.
Pitsea. Confirmed and dated. We're at Pitsea Mount Community Hall on Brackendale Avenue, Basildon, SS13 3BD, and classes start on Thursday 24 September. It's street dance, every Thursday, from our Tots aged 3 up to an adult class in the evening. You can see the timetable and book a free first class now.
Rayleigh. The start date is set for the end of September. We're confirming the venue itself, and that's the last piece.
For Rayleigh, I know the address is the thing you actually want, and I'd rather give you the right one once than give you a maybe now and change it in a fortnight. If you register your interest for Rayleigh, you'll get the address, the timetable and the start date by email before we put any of it on the website.
What we'll be teaching
The same thing we teach at Billericay and Maldon. That's rather the point of opening a venue instead of franchising the name out.
Classes are grouped by age, from our youngest Tots through the primary ages and into the teenage groups. In Pitsea we're opening with street dance on Thursdays — Tots at 4pm for ages 3 to 5, then 6 to 9s, then 10 to 15s, and an adult commercial class at 7pm. Children learn properly, from teachers who dance themselves, in a room where nobody minds that it's your first week. We've been doing it that way since 2003 and it hasn't let us down yet.
New venues normally open with a core timetable and then grow it as classes fill up. So if there's a particular class, age group or day of the week you'd like to see in Pitsea or Rayleigh, tell us when you book or register. I read those, and they genuinely change what we put on the timetable.
What a first term at a new venue looks like
If you've not done this before, here's the shape of it.
Your child comes for a free first class. No card, no contract, no commitment beyond turning up in comfy clothes and trainers. If they like it, you book on for the term. If they don't, that's fine too, and you've lost nothing but an hour.
In a brand new venue, that first term has a particular feel to it. Everybody's new. Nobody knows the routines, nobody's been there for years, and there's no established group your child has to break into. If you've got a child who's a bit nervous about walking into a room full of strangers who already know each other, a new venue is genuinely the easiest possible time to start.
Where to dance in the meantime
Both our existing studios are running as normal and take beginners every week.
Billericay, our home studio, is at Summerhill Farm, Pipps Hill Road North, Noak Bridge, CM11 2UJ. There's free parking on site, which on a busy Saturday morning matters more than it sounds. This is where families across the Basildon, Pitsea and Laindon area train with us at the moment, and plenty will carry on there after Pitsea opens simply because they like the studio. Maldon is at Unit 8A/B, Wycke Hill, CM9 6UZ, five minutes from Tesco and ten from the high street. Details are on the Maldon page.

Rayleigh will open with a core children's timetable in the same style we teach at Billericay and Maldon. New venues usually grow the timetable as classes fill, so if there's a class or a day you'd particularly like, tell us when you book or register. It genuinely shapes what we put on.
