I get asked about musical theatre more than almost anything else, so I wanted to put everything in one place: the actual times, the actual teachers, and why I think it might be the best thing we teach.
When musical theatre runs
All of it happens at our Billericay studio, Summerhill Farm, Pipps Hill Road North, Noak Bridge, CM11 2UJ.

If you're coming from Maldon or further out, it's currently Billericay only. Our other classes run across more of the locations, but musical theatre lives here for now.
Who's actually teaching it
This is the part I'm proudest of. These aren't hobbyists, they're working performers who happen to teach at HK.
Mia Higgins grew up at HK herself before training at Tiffany Theatre College. She's been in UK pantomimes, appeared in Heartstopper and Unchosen on Netflix, and danced as a backing dancer for Rita Ora at Soccer Aid. She teaches our under 8s on Thursdays.
Emily Dennis has been part of HK for almost 10 years. Her performance credits include Move It, competing at Disneyland Paris, and the UDO World Championships. She teaches both Saturday classes.
Ella Mae achieved a distinction in her Level 3 Diploma in Dance before training for three years at Masters Performing Arts College. She's been performing since she was two, and co-teaches the Saturday 5 to 16 class alongside Emily.
When your child is learning a song or a scene, it's coming from someone who's actually done it professionally, not just taught it.
What a class is actually like
Singing, acting and dance in one hour, the same triple threat every West End performer trains in. Children learn real numbers from real shows, and it builds towards performing them properly, in front of family, on a stage. I've written more about what a typical class covers and why it builds confidence so quickly on the musical theatre page.
How to try it
The first class is free, no card, no contract. Pick the day and age group that fits and come along.
